If you’re starting to wonder whether or not you and your partner will make it, it may be time for couples counseling. It doesn’t have to be too late.

Couples counseling can be a game-changer for many couples. You and your partner know what brought you together, and you and your partner probably remember how you fell in love. However, sometimes knowing how you got to the point of seeking out couples counseling can be a little less clear. Whether you know exactly what is keeping you and your partner apart or you’re hoping to rekindle something you feel you lost along the way, I can help you rebuild your relationship to forge stronger connections and more comforting bonds.

Reasons people frequently seek couples counseling:

  • Sexuality
  • Desire mismatches
  • Polyamory & open relationships
  • Infidelity
  • Communication
  • Trauma
  • Resentment
  • Pornography
  • Grief and loss
  • Blending families
  • Checking out
  • And more

My Approach

I utilize a systemic view of your relationship to understand your bonds to each other. When we fundamentally understand your relationship and the problems you and your partner are facing, we are able to more effectively heal your relationship.

You and your partner have developed patterns in your relationships. These patterns are either driven by connection or a fear of disconnection. Utilizing EFT with you are your partner can help us work through these patters and create new patterns that are driven by connection. The goal of this approach is to create new emotional bonds that are long-lasting and sustainable for you and your partner.

What Happens During Couples Counseling

During your first appointment, I will get to know you and your partner and ask you questions about how you met, what brought you together, what you feel has changed, and what you feel brought you to couples counseling.

After I have established a baseline of your relationship, I will speak with you and your partner individually before meeting with you and your partner together again. Having an individual session allows you to be open and honest about your relationship and say things that you may be uncomfortable saying in front of your partner at this point in your healing process.

Following your individual appointments, I will meet with you and your partner to discuss your relationship and your counseling goals based on what I have ascertained in our initial conversations.

My ultimate goal with couples therapy is to ensure that you and your partner achieve the awareness and healing that you truly want. Healing yourself and your relationship is possible, and I am dedicated to using my training and passion to help guide you down the path of living the life you truly deserve.
